JOB SUMMARY
This is a management role whose scope is the finance department of Baylor Scott & White Healths Accountable Care Organization the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance.
The main areas of work for this position include team development and training, budgeting, ad-hoc reporting and analysis review, cash management and forecasting, investment account management, capital project administration, joint venture support, monthly accounting close, standard process development, and other value-based care finance activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Leading the operating budget and long-range financial plan (including training)
Reviewing ad hoc financial analysis
Reviewing and managing cash position
Conducting team huddles and one on one meetings
Managing third party communications
Presenting budget and operating results to leadership
Managing investment account balances and transfers
Capital project setup and tracking
Managing Joint venture expense tracking, reporting, and journal entries
Reviewing monthly accounting close accrual entries and editing as needed
Drafting monthly variance commentary for the organization
Recommending revenue recognition amounts
Providing guidance for PO creation and vendor payment requests
Supporting a performance revenue distribution process
Reviewing budget reclass transactions
Leading bi-annual contract, fee, and accounting template updates
Providing audit, tax, and consolidated adjusting journal entry (CAJE) support
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Advanced financial modeling ability
Budget development experience
Advanced accrual accounting and journal entry knowledge
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to lead and train teams
Knowledge of risk contracting and alternative payment models
An understanding of accountable care organizations
