Job Summary:
As an accounting supervisor at AccuTec, Inc., you will support the Senior Director of Finance and Treasury in overseeing and managing the organization’s financial activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, implementing financial controls, and supporting the company’s overall financial health. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and practical leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
FINANCIAL REPORTING:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
BUDGETING AND FORECASTING:
Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
GENERAL LEDGER MANAGEMENT:
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND RECEIVABLE:
Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Monitor cash flow and working capital to optimize financial performance.
AUDIT SUPPORT:
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits.
Implement audit recommendations and improve internal controls.
TAX COMPLIANCE:
In charge of management and compliance with Sales and Use Taxes
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Work with external tax advisors to optimize the company’s tax position.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
TEAM LEADERSHIP:
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Provide management with insights into financial performance.
AD HOC PROJECTS:
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Ten years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least five years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables).
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
