The Senior Finance Manager has the primary responsibility of managing the Finance department’s monthly accounting cycle, including the preparation and analysis of the interim financial statements. The Finance Manager will serve as back-up to the Senior Director of Finance and ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
Develop and maintain adequate financial controls.
Ensure timely posting of revenues and expenses.
Analyze revenue and expense trends and provide insight on performance vs. budget.
Build and maintain professional relationships with ACC vendors and customers.
Manage Fixed Assets:
Maintain fixed asset inventory.
Record monthly depreciation and amortization.
Lead the Month-end Closing Process:
Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial statements.
Research variances from budget and report on current year performance.
Assist ACC’s Senior Director of Finance and COO with annual audit, tax, and budget processes.
Conduct and lead projects on an ad hoc basis.
Serve as leader of the department in the absence of the Senior Director.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 to 7, or more, years related experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Accounts receivable and accounts payable experience. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and standard accounting policies, procedures, and systems a must.
COMPETENCIES (KSAs)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Great Plains.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with staff on all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
LANGUAGES
ACC seeks to hire multi-lingual candidates. Fluency in English and a second language is preferred.
