Job Summary
As the Automotive Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our automotive dealership, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing profitability.
Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Develop and implement financial strategies and goals to maximize dealership profitability.
Analyze financial s and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Monitor and control expenses, cash flow, and inventory levels to ensure financial stability.
Manage financial forecasts, budgets, and financial performance indicators.
Automotive Financing:
Oversee all automotive financing activities, including loan origination, credit analysis, and approvals.
Collaborate with financial institutions to secure competitive financing options for customers.
Ensure compliance with applicable finance and insurance regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
Train and guide sales staff on financing options, incentives, and programs.
Customer Service:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their financing needs and providing exceptional service.
Assist customers in understanding finance and insurance options, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the process.
Resolve customer inquiries and concerns related to financing and insurance.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of finance and sales staff.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and a customer-centric approach.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay updated with automotive finance regulations and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Safeguard customer information and maintain strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience as an Automotive Finance Manager or a similar role within the automotive industry.
In-depth knowledge of automotive financing products, loan underwriting, and credit analysis.
Familiarity with relevant finance and insurance regulations and compliance procedures.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to drive strategic decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and financial institutions.
Leadership abilities and experience in managing a team.
Proficient in using finance and accounting software.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required by the dealership.
