The Warehouse Manager will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
Communication with management and team members on and off-site locations.
Coordinate with shipping, receiving and logistics management
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
Completes all required management reports.
Executes maintenance activities when needed.
Create and maintain organizational goals including policy writing and implementation.
Improve on processes by implementing new practices such as barcoding, QC standards, etc.
Ensure that all team members are properly trained and compliant with standard processes and procedures.
Oversight of building and equipment maintenance.
Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Produce regular reports and statistics
Ensure compliance with safety programs and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations
Create and manage budgets, establish and control costs including labor, materials, and overhead
Improve distribution operations by identifying areas to improve quality and initiate problem-solving activities to improve quality performance
Train on systems, platforms, and any applicable business functions needed to perform distribution center jobs
Train, coach, and develop warehouse management in the performance of their assigned duties and achievement of goals
Motivate staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
At least five years of related experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
