The Role
As a Data Entry Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Direct Care Financial Management (DCFM) Accounts Receivable Team. This position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across various DCFM functions. You will be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining data for our clients, ensuring data quality, and aiding different departments in accessing clean, organized data for their operations. Your responsibilities will encompass handling transactions in multiple accounting systems, including the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and the Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System (DEAMS).

Your Responsibilities
Provide support to the DHA Accounts Receivable team
Maintain databases by accurately inputting and updating customer and account information
Efficiently input data from source documents into the computer system
Verify data accuracy by comparing it to source documents
Identify and rectify data entry errors; report inconsistencies or issues
Regularly update data to ensure database integrity
Organize and maintain paper documents and source data in a proper filing system
Generate reports and perform basic data analysis tasks as required
Uphold data security and confidentiality according to company policies
Address data-related inquiries or requests from colleagues or superiors
Implement data backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills And Experience Required
Prior training/experience with GFEBS (Preferred) or DEAMS
Knowledge of Military Health System (MHS) policies and regulations governing Public Receivables, Reimbursables, and accounting systems (GFEBS & DEAMS) and related systems (ABACUS, ADS, IPAC, DCAS, etc.) (Preferred)
Strong attention to detail for error-free data input
Familiarity with data entry software, databases, and spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
Basic understanding of data security and confidentiality principles
Strong organizational and time management skills for efficient data input
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Problem-solving skills to resolve data-related issues
Adaptability to learn new software and processes as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Travel Requirements
Must be willing to travel up to 10-15% nationally and internationally for client business as needed.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a hybrid/remote office environment and requires operating standard office equipment and keyboards.
Must be able to lift small packages or other items up to 20 lbs and travel short or long distances in a car, airplane, or other vehicle of transportation to client destinations nationally and internationally if needed.
Extra Credit If You Have
A 4-year degree in finance or a related field (preferred)
