The Accounting Clerk will assist in preparing financial reports related to organization assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities. This role will also partner with internal and external customers to play a key role in ensuring the company receives payments for services offered to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Creates and submits client invoices.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts, as requested.
Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Controller and other staff.
Reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis, verifies deposits and addresses inquiries from banks as needed.
Deposit checks.
Assists with preparation of financial statements.
Assists with filing various taxes and participates in other tax related activities, to ensure compliance.
As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Assists in maintaining general ledger.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience is required.
1+ years of Sage Intacct experience is strongly preferred.
An associate degree in accounting or related business fields is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct.
Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
Applicable knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team oriented individual.
Physical Requirements and working conditions:
Work will be performed primarily in an office setting with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
