The Finance Transformation Office, a part of Enterprise Finance, is leading a generational change by modernizing the tools used to deliver financial information. The FTO is also transitioning work processes towards the Agile approach. This position will require the execution of key initiatives that use new tools to transform the reporting process towards simplified and intuitive solutions that allow the 1000+ user base to develop better insights in support of better decision making. Efforts include process and system support for production and feature enhancements including new technology application, with particular focus on internal financial reporting and related allocations such as costing, capital, liquidity, funds transfer pricing and other areas. Results are used broadly for business unit performance assessment and will lead to exposure on enterprise trends. Other material downstream data consumers include the internal financial forecasting process, Recovery and Resolution Planning, and externally reported Operating Segment Results. This is an exciting opportunity to instigate meaningful and lasting change on the enterprise finance function and help tell the financial story of Wells Fargo.
This is a high-profile position that will expose the analyst to businesses throughout the organization. The analyst will support the financial results and will coordinate changes with line of business finance, the Corporate Development and RRP Strategy and Business leadership teams, the central Financial Planning and Analysis function, and may interact with Investor Relations during Operating Segment results preparation for the earnings release. The analyst will be expected to develop an enterprise perspective, understand financial trends and interpret their impacts to reports, and understand the changing requirements of various recovery and resolution plan options as noted by regulatory agencies. This is an important role that will see the analyst become an expert in the businesses of Wells Fargo.

In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives as part of a technical professional in the field
Provide a broad expertise and unique skills used to develop company objectives and standards
Contribute to large scale planning such as economic research in support of management decision making for a business unit
Research key forecasting projections as well as management of financial reporting to support monthly and quarterly forecasting
Perform work on significant and unique issues involving data and evaluation or highly complex situations
Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
Lead team to meet the implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
Establish effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standard and internal control standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Proven ability to mix financial analysis, reporting experience, and systems and technical aptitude towards a superior information product that users can confidently use towards the analysis of enterprise performance evaluation.
Experience with Banking financial statements, including yield analysis, funds transfer pricing, capital computations and allocations is desired.
Experience and knowledge around recovery and resolution planning
Knowledge of reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Essbase are desirable.
The ability to analyze a process and find ways to reduce risk and/or find efficiencies, by developing superior process and/or using tools such as Alteryx.
Proven ability to pivot quickly and adapt to changes as well as flexibility in dealing with different stakeholders and varying priorities.
Strong communication skills with experience interacting with various levels including senior leadership. Also, experience with assembling meeting agendas, hosting of meetings, and recording meeting minutes.
