The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with month end close processes, preparing invoices, and fixed asset management. In this role you will also reconcile balance sheet accounts, preparing necessary workpapers, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of the general ledger. The Senior Accountant will also cross train and serve as a back up to payroll, accounts payable, and other departments as needed.
The starting pay range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 per year.
Schedule: Monday-Friday typically 9:00 am- 5:00 pm with some flexibility.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years hands-on accounting experience
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and general accounting procedures
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Proficient with Excel, creating and working with intermediate spreadsheets
- Experience in payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks; strong organizational skills; high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage and work independently
