The Sr. Financial Consultant role on the Medical Cost Management team will be responsible for the financial oversight of our medical affordability programs.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Hybrid in Minnetonka, MN preferred but will consider woriking remotely.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage current financial review process to ensure accuracy and integrity of our affordability program savings estimates
Review, update and maintain return-on-investment analyses to ensure the appropriate use of enterprise resources
Provide actionable data to business partners to support overall affordability agenda
Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a compelling message for their stakeholders
Clearly communicate results, forecasted performance, and variances to budget, forecast, etc.
Support preparation for earnings release, investor conference, business planning etc. as well as various ad hoc requests and special projects

Required Qualifications:
BS/BA in accounting, finance, or equivalent fields
5+ years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting
Experience creating financial models, presentations, and commentary
Proficient computer skills including Excel/Smart View/Essbase, data warehouses, Power BI, MS Access, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Finance experience in healthcare industry
Ability to work in a matrix environment and influence others
Effective written and verbal communication skills

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
