Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the Vice President of Finance will be responsible for the development of Liberty Source’s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading financial services establishing strong business and financial planning processes, budgeting, strategic frameworks and driving critical financial decisions, assessing corporate model changes and timely financial and management reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
Advise the CEO and other key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Communicate, engage, and interact with Board of Directors; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at board of directors and committee meetings.
Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization regarding long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion.
Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance
Prepare monthly forecasting of revenue, expense, and content cash to predict operating results.
Identifies opportunities to maximize revenue through analysis of competitive landscape and business trends.
Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.
Direct and manage the finance team, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
Identify, acquire, and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information.
Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, a Master’s in Business Administration is preferred.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization.
Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation skills.
Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
Self-reliant, excellent analytical and reasoning skills, results oriented.
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors, and staff.
Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
