Job Purpose/Summary:
The Manager of Finance position is an integral role within the Poultry FP&A group. This role will assist the Associate Director of the RVAP MBU in managing all FP&A activities and will work closely with a wide group of cross functional partners in driving profitable growth. The successful candidate will exhibit financial acumen with a focus on data integrity and will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively. This individual will be responsible for the weekly/monthly/quarterly close & reporting process, developing the monthly LE forecast, assisting in the Annual Operating & Strategic Long Range planning processes, and working with BU partners on evaluating brand building/profit initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with cross functional partners in the development of the Monthly LE forecast, including variance analysis and reporting to BU leadership
Participation in the Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Long Range planning processes. Responsible for coordinating inputs to the plan, creating Pro Forma estimates, identification of risks/opportunities to plan, and presenting results to the Finance & BU leadership
Partnering with Marketing & other cross functional partners on various ad-hoc initiatives and requests including but not limited to; pricing analysis, incremental funding requests, participation in the S&OP process including volume bridging support, capital expenditure requests
Manage the month end/quarter end GL close process & oversee the adjustment of SD accruals
Responsible for weekly/monthly performance reporting to the BU and cross functional team with a focus on data accuracy
Periodic evaluation of financial reporting/analysis activities to identify opportunities to drive out non value added activities and to increase efficiency & effectiveness
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA desired
5+ years experience in an Accounting or Finance related field
Proficient in MS office applications especially Excel & Power Point
Strong communication, organization, and data management skills
Experience with SAP, BI, BPC, Power BI
