Thousand Hills Vacations Looking for Staff Accountant at Branson, Missouri Full Time

As a Staff Accountant within our organization, you will work closely with our Executive Team and departments such as Human Resources, Payroll, Finance and Operations to name a few.

Employed by Save on Branson (Branson Internet Ventures, LLC), this position will work with department and company managers across the entire family of brands that are locally owned and operated here in Branson: Save on Branson, Thousand Hills Vacations, St. James Winery Branson, Branson’s Famous Old Time Photos, VacationIQ, VacationStar, and Pointe Royale Properties.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of company reports and statements. This Staff Accountant position will also work on operational accounting items such as inventory management at various businesses within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• General ledger maintenance
• Operational accounting assistance and administration
• Assist in payroll processing
• Account / Bank reconciliations
• Sales and payroll tax reporting
• Assist in preparation of financial statements
• Organize and update financial records
• Perform monthly bank settlements
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing
• Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy

Secondary Responsibilities

• Monthly inventory administration alongside department managers to ensure accuracy in counts

Requirements and Skills Needed

• QuickBooks experience highly preferred
• ProAdvisor preferred
• Ability to prioritize work for multiple entities and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong initiative and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Daily report communication to supervisor and executive team

Education

• Associates degree or higher in accounting, finance or other business-related field or two years of experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable or general ledger
