McKissack is seeking one (1) full time assistant project manager for the Borough Based Jail (BBJ) Bronx Site Preparation which entails clearing and grubbing of the current Bronx Tow Pound, potential remediation and excavation of contaminated soils and foundations remaining from prior buildings’ demolitions, rock chopping as required for installation of a new temporary sewer line, backfilling with clean soil for future construction.
The $8.5 Billion 7-year NYC Borough-Based Jail System Program is comprised of the procurement, programming, design, and construction of four new borough-based jails. This program is managed by the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC). It is essential that you possess excellent communication and team building. You must have the ability to work independently, collaboratively, with full transparency, as required by the client/project.
Your duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: Direct day-to-day management of a Design/Build Contractor’s activities related to the project description above.
Scope includes site management coordination with the Client (NYC DDC) and DB Contractor (Yonkers Construction), cost and schedule analyses, reporting, change request management,
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing environmental and remedial site work and infrastructure installation, OSHA-30, civil background and/or hazmat certifications a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
