Financial Manager
Purpose

To assist the Controller in all matters of church finance and human resources records retention.

Desired Qualifications
- Be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ with a willingness to be helpful and supportive of others in their spiritual journeys.
- Know and commit your support to the FPC mission statement and values including the staff covenant.
- Possess a working knowledge of church software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting minimum.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Accountability
The Financial Manager is under the supervision of the Controller, and is accountable to the Executive Pastor and Session.
Relationships
This position will require a close and positive daily working relationship with all members of the staff, Covenant Partners, guests and vendors. This person also serves as one of the staff resources for the Trustee Ministry, Endowment Ministry, and Oil and Gas Committee.

Responsibilities
- Processing payroll, including reviewing timesheets, and submitting payroll taxes.
- Maintaining employees’ PTO allowance.
- Accounts Payable processing, including reviewing POs for accuracy, avoiding duplication and ensuring timely payments.
- Processing accounts receivable and maintaining records; respond to requests pertaining to AR.
- Process contributions and non-contributions.
- Respond to annual audit tasks.
- Respond to inquiries from staff and committees
- Assist in monitoring of budget, reporting variances.
- Assist Controller as directed.

Evaluation
The Financial Manager is evaluated annually by the Controller.
