POSITION DETAILS
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Administration And Finance, the Administrative Budget and Grants Director will submit various grant applications, including budgets and justifications, and comply with all grant college wide application requirements
Develop and maintain a grants milestone of financial reporting requirements and other performance requirements with related deadlines for each grant and contract agreement.
Proactively disseminate information about up-coming grant milestones (grants coming to an end, reports due, grants closed, etc.) To respective staff to ensure compliance with the grant conditions for forward planning.
Provides strategic and technical support for budget decision-making and negotiations.
Provide expert recommendations to the management to mitigate risks.
Ensure that required financial controls are in place and adhered to, prevent over expenditure of budgets, ensure proper safeguards of funds, and ensure compliance with established funders and foundations financial and accounting procedures.
Facilitate the work of sub-grantee audits and ensure that financial records are properly maintained and readily available during audits.
Lead acquisition and grants management initiatives, from pre-award market research and evaluation to post-award administration and close-out.
Directs and manages formulation, presentation, justification, and execution funds control.
Conduct all close out activities assigned (e.g., develop project close out budget, oversee sub-grantee close out budgets, review for payment all final invoices, close out technical services contracts, and sub-awards within donor guidelines)
Works with the financial officer/s on budgets, contracts and grant matters of more complex nature, such as indirect cost issues, prioritization of available additional funding and possible misuse of contract and grant funding.
Liaison with the provost’s office.
Represent the college with oversight entities and other regulatory boards.
Take on additional responsibilities, as needed including the staff management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree and eight years’ related experience required.
Proven project management and presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong command over written and verbal communication
Knowledge of planning and strategizing financial and budgeting issues
Experience with complex financial management skills including developing and monitoring budgets andfinancial reporting
A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure
Ability to meet competing deadlines and deliver results on time with a strong attention to detail.
VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing
