SUMMARY: Performs accounting functions consisting of balance sheets, profit & loss statements and other financial reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following; other duties may be assigned:

• Supports monthly close process.
• Analyzes trends, cost, revenues and expenses.
• Reports organization’s finances to management.
• Generates labor cost and shipments reports for management review.

• Offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• None

QUALIFICATIONS: Related work experience in general accounting; previous experience with general ledgers required.

• Technical skills in account reconciliation; cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities, etc.
• Planning and organization: ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency: Word and Excel (particularly with spreadsheets).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field. Work experience in a manufacturing work environment preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Incumbent must have the ability to communicate with various Corporate Financial Managers both domestic and foreign.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Incumbent must be very strong in math including standard accounting methods.

REASONING ABILITY: Incumbent must possess reasoning skills to insure sound financial decision-making.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are typical of those in any office setting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Although this facility is a manufacturing plant, the majority of duties are carried out in a clean and well-equipped office setting.
