Job Description
Purpose of Position/Summary:
Staff accountants must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills
Utilizes accounting system, billing system, and spreadsheets
Research payment inquires
Provides proper guidance on payment issues
File division paperwork
Filing, storing and retrieving accounts payable, payroll and settlement records
Mail processing
Answer phone inquiries
Perform related duties as assigned
Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounts payable process
Knowledge of the Company s organization and function
Performs account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
Ability to solve complex problems as they may arise
Ability to coordinate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Ability to understand and identify risks in the approval process and suggest process improvements
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, with clients, as well as coworkers in a courteous and tactful manner
Possess attention to detail
Work closely with account related software provided
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Position Requirements:
Candidates must have a bachelor s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum two or more years of experience in accounting or related business area
Proficient in spreadsheet software (Excel) and Word.
Access and Accounting Software knowledge preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
