JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Director is a member of the Leadership Team with a strategic and systems-approach to supervising and carrying out internal and external financial reporting. Serve as a trusted financial advisor for a public reporting manufacturing company with budgeting, forecasting and analysis of financial statements responsibilities. Serve as a financial advisor for business leadership by providing insightful financial analysis and decision support while optimizing the Company’s return on investments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the Company’s annual and long-range strategic plan development, and actionable ongoing forecast reporting and variance analysis for all departments, balance sheet and cash flow.
· Collaborate closely with colleagues to drive continuous improvement of business processes and advancing systems, including ERP implementation and achievement of functional goals.
· Work with Management Team to develop department plans to support a strategic plan that increases the return on investment for the Company.
· Communicate financial and operational performance against key metrics to plan leaders on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, leading to recommendations and action plans for future improvement.
· Responsible for Management’s Discussion and Analysis for external reporting.
· Prepare package for Audit Committee and Board of Directors’ meetings, at least quarterly.
· Perform all overhead (including applied labor and overhead liquidation), general and administration and selling expenses estimates and variance analysis.
· Develops and utilizes forward-looking data analytics and trend analysis to inform financial strategy and decision making.
· Experience in revenue recognition methods for products, services, multiple-element arrangements and milestones.
· Prepare annual report, proxy statement and coordinate with tabulation agent for annual meeting.
· Maintain standard reporting tools to help identify key risks and opportunities.
· Support financial and business controls and standards including COSO requirements.
· Responsible for updating post retirement benefits liability with actuary.
· Administration responsibilities for the Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
· Administration responsibilities for the 401k plans.
· Responsible for insurance renewals, except for health insurance.
· Work independently on special projects as required by the CFO.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in-office setting
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including the ability to work on a computer screen for long periods of time.
Other: May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and looking at a computer screen for long periods at a time.
