Description
A well-respected Robert Half client is seeking a Vice President/Director of Finance consultant for a long-term project. This role is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan and will report directly to the CFO.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
Work to drive financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improving forecasting and modeling accuracy
Oversee the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting and forecasting processes
Adhere to the company’s accounting policies and procedures
Provide regular reports to internal and board stakeholders on the company’s key financial metrics
Work with the executive team to develop operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the organization and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets
Oversee the preparation of relevant materials for detailed business unit projections and highlight risks/opportunities
Develop and sustain effective professional relationships with the company’s bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:
Exceptional integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
CPA designation or MBA highly preferred
Must be able to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment with excellent written and verbal skills
Must be skilled in analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 8 years’ experience at an executive level role
