Description A company in the Andover, Massachusetts area is looking to fill an entry-level Financial Analyst role with an adjustable and motivated industry professional. In this role, you will provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. Responsibilities
Contribute in the production of monthly financial reporting and other business data
Cooperate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
Accommodate a number of aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
Assist in annual budgeting process
Explore and query an immense amounts of data
On occasion, clarify tough financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
Implement productive alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and enhance financial performance of a company
Centralize and resolve budgets and income statement forecasts
Evaluate verified results at the corporate and division levels
Participate in monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Aid in ensuring adequate controls and procedures Requirements – Less than one year of experience
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Demonstrated knowledge of Workstation Support
Strong familiarity with financial planning
Foundational knowledge in Annual Budget
Good understanding of implementation
Prior experience with Best Practices
Earlier work involving Spreadsheets
General familiarity with production
Comprehension of Microsoft PowerPoint
Deep understanding of Microsoft Word
Budget Processes experience
Review experience preferred
Knowledge of Compliance Functions
Financial reporting experience highly valued
Policy experience
Practical knowledge of Quarterly
Hands-on experience with Execute
Background working with Microsoft Access
Presentations experience
Perform Ad Hoc Financial experience highly preferred
Microsoft Office Suites experience desired
Proficiency experience highly desired
KPI Reporting experience preferred
Previous experience working with forecasting
Experience with Stakeholders
Adeptness in finance
