Description
Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join a well-respected Non-Profit. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company.
What you get to do every single day
Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks
Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models
Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Oversee insurance and risk management
Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Own financial planning and budget management functions
Hire, train, and retain finance staff
Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
MBA or CPA is preferred
