Parallel Employment Group, in partnership with a Lancaster manufacturing company is seeking a qualified Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk. Direct experience in accounts payable required. Flexible scheduling: 4 hours per day; Monday through Friday. 20 hours per week. Hours can be flexible, 4 hours per day, between the hours of of 8 am to 3:30 pm.
Wage: $21-22 per hour; based on experience
As a Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, entering invoices, processing check run, processing deposits.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining financial records and upholding the company’s commitment to integrity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a team that is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients in the warehousing industry.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices and verify the accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation
- Match invoices with purchase orders and ensure proper authorization for payment
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with accurate general ledger coding
- Prepare and perform weekly check runs, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts
- Assist with vendor inquiries and resolve any payment related issues in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable processing.
- Proficient in using accounting software applications, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with general ledger coding
