Job Description:
Provide effective sales support in line with the growth strategy of the business
Working with customers, potential customers, engineering, production, and the management team the post holder will be a key member of the sales team providing a first class administrative and customer support from initial enquiry to repeat business
Liaise with departmental leads and ensure the timely completion of all customer surveys
Upload annual certifications relating to quality certifications, surveys, and property audits
Manage the data flow across all customer portals (ie, Ariba, EDI, Exostar, etc.) to download orders and upload quotes
Monitor, manage and flag for review all price indexing for customers
Administer sales order entries
Perform sales contract review process
Coordinate with engineering, business development, and finance to ensure timely order acknowledgement
Change order management and issue customer numbers using company systems for purchase order revisions
Download prints and customer specifications and assist with the maintenance of specification spreadsheets with traceability on all customer revisions
Download customer schedules
Use of ERP system (Epicor) to capture new part numbers and revision information
Undertake all other relevant administrative tasks as required
Act as the Sales liaison on operational calls with customers
Communicate with and act on behalf of customers (within confines of sales role) and liaise with internal departments as appropriate
Determine if customer inquiry is repeat or a new bid opportunity – If repeat, then manage the job through the process; If new bid opportunity, then refer to and support Business Development team members as appropriate
Create QuickBase and Epicor initial entries
Maintain robust and organized electronic filing systems
Prepare letter of authority documentation
Use DocuSign to ensure critical sales data is approved in a timely manner
Provide a data management and traceability function during the entire estimating/quoting process
Required Skills & Qualifications:
– High school diploma
– Minimum 3+ years of prior customer service or inside sales experience
– Proficiency in multiple computer systems including Microsoft Suite, email, etc.
– Proven reliability and attendance
– Exceptional verbal and written customer service skills
– Strong organizational skills and task management
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
– Associate’s Degree
– Minimum 3+ years of previous inside sales or direct sales experience in a manufacturing environment
