We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our global organization that will ensure that customer needs are being met or exceeded in a fast-paced environment.
As a Warehouse Manager you are responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehoused goods. Candidates who are graduates with a qualification in distribution, logistics, transportation, management, business studies or retail management will be preferred. Skill set in WMS, Supervision, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities include:
· Reporting directly to the Director of Warehouse and Logistics
· Ensuring all shipping and receiving is completing on a daily basis
· Address and communicate immediately any non-conformance with shipping and receiving
· Responsible for staffing requirements as manpower requirements
· Train and develop warehouse staff
· Prepare employee schedules and assign designated duties
· Responsible for bi-annual inventories (June and November)
· Ensure inventory cycle count is accurate
· Ensure accuracy of computer count verses physical counts on inventory
· Ensure warehouse is kept clean and safe
· Ensure that all persons entering the warehouse (both staff and any third parties) comply with warehouse safety regulations and practices
· Responsible for all delivery truck maintenance schedules and daily checks on trucks
· Vendor returns to specified location, notification within 48 hours and area kept up to date
· Stay abreast of Warehouse Management Industry development and pertinent regulatory changes
· Vendor returns to be monitored or verify with General Operations Manager for disposal
· Ensure all related ISO procedures are followed and recorded
· Any other job as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
· 3-5 years’ experience in a warehousing and transportation environment
· Preferred experience working with international company
· Excellent computer skills in WMS, Microsoft Excel & Word, technically astute
· Strong communication and inter-personal skills
· Organized and detail oriented
