Full Job Description

*Summary and Reporting Structure:*

The Accounts Payable
Specialist is a hands-on role that keeps our Finance department
running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and
suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join
our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate,
efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily,
ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on
time, and on good terms with our valued partners. This position
reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

*Essential Job Functions:*

* Review invoices for
appropriate documentation prior to payment.
* Generate purchase
orders when necessary.
* Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to
ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly
posted.
* Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by
reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
*
Properly code invoices and enter them into the accounting software.
* Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
*
Process invoices using our AP automation software.
* Manage
multiple email inboxes.
* Process and prepare a weekly check run
in accordance with department policies.
* Process payment via
check, credit cards and ACH.
* Assist in the month end financial
reporting as needed.

*Qualifications and Requirements:*

* 2-5 years of AP experience preferred.
* Associate’s
degree or equivalent
* Experience with Netsuite and/or
Bill.com
* Understanding of basic principles of finance,
accounting, and bookkeeping
Superb time management skills and
detail orientation
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of
company and partner information
Excellent verbal and written
skills.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Ability to
thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
* Ability to
manage a high volume workload processing over 100 invoices daily.
