Position: Customer Sales Associate

Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday: 8:30AM-5:00PM

To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

In This Role, You Will…

Be a Customer Sales Associate in our Mortgage department, where your motivation and performance allows you to learn mortgage industry knowledge and puts you on the path for success! This position provides you opportunity to transition into a Mortgage Loan Officer position.

Responsibilities:

• Calls and solicits potential borrowers to apply for mortgage-related products with Mariner Finance.
• Over the phone, delivers a prepared sales script that describes mortgage-related products to the potential borrower.
• Adjusts sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific mortgage borrower types.
• Refers all potential buyers who would like to discuss loan rates and terms and all questions regarding loan rates and terms to the Licensed Loan Officer in the state where the property is located.
• Assists branch network with solicitation of other company loan products and verification of contracts.
• Records names, addresses, information, and feedback of potential borrowers contacted.
• May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) to two (2) years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of the mortgage industry or a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Possess a great telephone voice and excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
