Position Overview:
We are looking for an
Accounting Analyst who can contribute to our fast-paced close process
with great attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible for
a wide range of accounting duties including, but not limited to
daily/weekly general ledger accounting transactions, account
reconciliations, capital investment analysis and financial process
improvements. The position requires close coordination, communication,
and effective cross-functional relationships with other team
members.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare and record
journal entries, as well as respond to general ledger inquiries as
needed.
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for
assigned general ledger accounts.
Manage intercompany
relationships and balances. This will involve liaising with different
international locations to ensure proper accounting globally.
Ensure that all existing accounting/financial policies and
procedures are consistently applied across all regions and companies
in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Provide solutions to accounting
issues as they arise.
Responsible for the preparation and
analysis of prepaid and accrued expenses.
Responsible for
overseeing accounting transactions for international entities,
including real-time review of month-end close and review of all
monthly account reconciliations.
Manage capital investments,
monitor budget vs actual investments with project owners and be
responsible for closing projects on a timely basis.
Improve,
implement, and manage policies and procedures to increase
organizational efficiencies and adherence to internal controls.
Assist with the development and documentation of accounting
processes, policies, and controls.
Support requests of the
Company’s external auditors.
Perform other related duties
(special projects and reporting analysis) as necessary
Required
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or
MBA preferred
2+ years of relevant financial accounting
experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience
with SAP, and experience in a cross-functional environment
preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment
with high attention to detail
Be a solutions-oriented team player
and possess excellent organizational skills
Strong critical
thinking, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to questions and
concepts
Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close
processes, including proficient in handling accruals, prepaids and
other general accounting tasks.
Ability to work independently in
a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, professional
judgment, and management of confidential and sensitive information
