The Position – Chief Financial Officer
We are looking for someone to raise capital for the real estate projects and act as arranger/co-arranger in syndicated M&A financings.
Strong background in real estate investment banking, private equity and joint venture are highly desirable.
This includes accounting, budgeting, forecasting, strategy, FP&A, raising capital and investor presentations.
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative, financial, and regulatory operations of the company.
Qualifications
The Chief Financial Officer will be a seasoned and mature leader with 7+ years of broad finance experience, raising capital, ideally beginning in accounting, followed by significant experience in real estate – gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Prior alternative asset class fund experience preferably PE and real estate, and management of a portfolio of assets.
The Chief Financial Officer will have experience managing the finance and accounting function (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a diverse entity. The successful candidate will have the ability to function on a broad-based, strategic level and see the “big picture”, while also being hands-on and capable of diving into the details and data when needed.
What you’ll Do
1. Development of capital structure and related capital raising strategy.
Strategy and execution of capital market activities related to equity and debt portfolio.
Structuring and oversight of credit revolving facilities and other capital raising tools.
Development and management of rating agency and banking partners relations.
Asset-liability management and equity disposal execution.
2. Oversight responsibility for liquidity positions and cash and investment portfolio.
Define investment guidelines and asset allocation, portfolio risk and maturity profile.
Ensure adequate liquidity and enhance overall portfolio return.
Partner with and oversee external asset managers.
3. Preparation and oversight of short and long-term cash forecast.
What you need to succeed
7+ years’ experience in capital investment / capital raising, preferably within the real estate sector.
Prior alternative asset class fund experience preferably PE and real estate, and management of a portfolio of assets.
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including direct experience preparing materials and/or presenting to CEO Offices, Board or Board Committees; proven ability to both listen effectively, articulate complex concepts simply and coherently.
High level of critical thinking and comfort with ambiguity.
Incredible attention to detail and ownership of business outcomes.
Advanced degree in business, finance or related field required; MBA, CFA, CPA or similar qualification preferred.
Compensation
Our pay range for this position is $148,000 — $289,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
