As part of the Martella Farms management team, the Finance Senior Manager must have strong leadership, planning, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Duties include budgeting and forecasting models, risk management, and ad hoc financial & business analysis to support growth objectives of the operations. May also assist with business funding decisions.
Manages financial/accounting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States, including financial reporting to meet enterprise level planning, tax, and banking requirements.
Attracts, trains, retains, and effectively engages other RMF office personnel.
· Become a member of, and work efficiently with, the RMF management team.
· Lead RMF strategic development and implementation of initiatives to achieve the annual operating budget.
· Analyzes company operations to identify opportunities for expansion, down-sizing, reorganization, or elimination.
· Develop annual capital expenditure budget.
· Reviews and forecasts performance against prior year and budget and suggests action plans to close gaps and improve performance.
· Monitor KPI Reporting process, identify and explain performance variances.
· Work with Business Partners to lower cost structure, maximize efficiency, and increase profitability.
· Review net working capital position and recommend actions to increase or better manage cash flow.
· Review timely financial statements, including account reconciliations, to ensure that balances are accurate and reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards in the United States.
· Leads the preparation of other external reports to key stakeholders and governmental regulatory agencies.
· Works with Field Operations to develop and implement internal reporting tools.
· Maintain and recommend new RMF business policies and operating procedures.
· Supervises accounting policies, procedures, controls, and related activities.
· Lead and participate with both internal and external audits.

· Other duties may incorporate: Interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Responsibilities not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks.
Physical demands
o Will occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, taste and smell.
o Will frequently sit and occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
o Must use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination simultaneously.
o Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
o Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 30 pounds frequently.
o Must lift with arms up to floor to waist, waist to shoulder 30 pounds.
o Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hrs.
o Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (15 flexions/minute).
o Use of keyboard and mouse for an extended period.
Work environment
o May work near moving mechanical parts.
o May work around wet or humid conditions, in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and/or risk of vibration.
1. Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience with steady progression through management ranks, preferably in an agricultural business model.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, with CPA/CMA credentials or MBA preferred.
3. Strong leadership, planning, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States.
5. Advanced MS Office skills (M.S. Excel and PowerPoint).
