Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and multi-faceted finance professional to drive our Corporate Finance efforts and support our Transactions and Asset Management teams.
You will report to and directly assist the Chief Financial Officer in all aspects of financial planning & analysis, capital markets, and investor relations. Your primary responsibilities will include ownership of the company’s corporate model, portfolio analytics, debt compliance, and select investor communications. You will also assist with all capital raising efforts and provide analytical expertise to support real estate transaction activity.
As the company continues to grow and evolve, the right candidate will find opportunities to assume leadership and managerial responsibilities, form institutional relationships with investors and bankers, and develop as a senior corporate finance professional in the REIT sector.
Job Description
Prepare, maintain and identify opportunities to continuously improve corporate analytics
Prepare, maintain and identify opportunities to continuously improve portfolio analytics
Prepare and maintain debt covenant calculations
Prepare cost of capital and investment spread analyses in support of transaction activity
Coordinate and lead the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes
Coordinate and contribute to the preparation and distribution of Board materials
Assist in the execution of equity issuances and debt financings
Perform credit analyses for both existing and potential tenants
Prepare press releases, investor presentations and other public facing materials
Lead and/or contribute to IT enhancements involving reporting, data analytics and BI
Lead or support various ad-hoc projects as needed and assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
High integrity, high energy, intellectual curiosity, and a positive attitude
Career orientation with a demonstrated interest in the retail and real estate industries
Results and solution orientation with emphasis on continuous improvement
Strong computer skills, including expertise using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Advanced financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and database management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills – need the ability to create and present a story based on relevant data and insights
Strong interpersonal skills – position is cross functional and interacts regularly with executive management and external partners
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage recurring duties and ad hoc tasks
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Advanced understanding of public equity and real estate markets preferred
Advanced understanding of key REIT and real estate investment metrics preferred
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of relevant finance experience
Prior experience in real estate at a publicly traded REIT or financial institution

Compensation Disclosure
Comprehensive package comprised of a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, annual discretionary incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus and equity grants, and fulsome benefits, including, but not limited to: (a) health care, dental & vision coverages, (b) partial 401K match, and (c) healthcare & commuter reimbursement programs.
