Overview: Come join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. as a professional, reliable AP Accountant. Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. This position will be responsible for all activities associated with the Accounts Payable function. Position reports to Vice President of Finance.
Responsibilities:
Performs confidential accounting duties to include communication with vendor reps and Company managers.
Responsible for all activities in the Accounts Payable function.
Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense transmittals.
Maintains accurate records and control reports.
Reviews applicable accounting reports, documents and AP registers to ensure accuracy.
Requires at least 3 years in the field.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices,and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish bookeeping and general ledger account reconciliations.
Reports to General Ledger Manager
Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years general accounting, bookkeeping and accounts payables experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business required (Accounting, Finance, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills
Logical and sound judgment,good analytical skills and reasoning abilities
Detailed oriented
Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, while maintaining a high accuracy level
Proficient user of Excel, Word and Outlook
AS/400 experience beneficial
Able to work independently while meeting daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Must have ability to work overtime if needed
Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks€ ).
