Founded in 1962, General Hotels Corporation has grown into one of the largest hotel management and development companies in the Midwest. GHC operates under a broad range of franchises and management agreements including full service, select service, extended stay, and revenue management only services. In addition to hotel management services, the GHC Family of Companies includes GHC Development and Hospitality Project Services, the development and construction divisions of General Hotels Corporation.
The company’s vision and core values of caring, commitment, excellence, integrity, respect, and growing serve as our guiding principles in all operations and interactions with guests, associates, investors, and partners. GHC continues to grow and expand its portfolio of projects throughout the country with 6 hotels currently under construction and numerous additional markets in exploration.
GHC is seeking to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his retirement, the company’s long time CFO of 25 years was successful in advancing the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company to maximize company assets and report accurate financial results. While continuing this progress is important, growing the portfolio through new hotel development and expanding third-party hotel management contracts is a priority for our next CFO.
Our CFO will work on expanding opportunities through growth of hotel property counts and will be responsible for increasing the valuation of existing assets. In their role, they will be responsible for underwriting new development and management opportunities and act as an asset manager for GHC founders and third-party owners alike.
Current capital resources are internally and externally generated with development partnerships in place to underwrite GP/LP structures with like-minded buyers. Understanding how to expand our existing operating companies primarily comes through capital allocation and real estate investment decision making. The CFO will solicit, screen and secure financing for new hotel assets. A knowledge of general real estate underwriting, platform development, asset management and investor relations are a must.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will have at least seven (7) years of progressive responsibility for a hotel-related company or a division of a major service company either directly as an executive or counsel thereof or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
