FirstService Residential is currently seeking a new team member to manage all the daily accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Process and organize accounts payable
Maintain vendor files for community associations
Work with vendors on all billing issues
File accounting supporting documents
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Record monthly recurring journal entries including accrued and prepaid expenses
Prepare monthly financial packages for each Association
Special Projects
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with financial statements, bank reconciliation, and general bookkeeping & a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. In addition they should be detail-oriented, responsible and self-reliant.
Previous experience with accounting software is a plus.
The ability to present information to owners and coworkers is critical as well.
Previous experience with working as a bookkeeper in hotels and/or restaurants is a plus.
Salary: Starting rate of pay will be based on the level of experience.
