The Finance & Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring company payrolls are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations within EPX Groups Energy Infrastructure Business. The position will require an experienced professional that will develop the Payroll/Compliance department with both prevailing wage and non-prevailing wage applications. In addition to payroll activities, other daily activities include general applications of accounting, financial reconciliation, invoicing, and business audit controls. The Finance & Payroll Manager will report to the Controller of EPX Group.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Processing and reporting Certified Payroll for Prevailing Wage projects.

· Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

· Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

· Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

· Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

· Communicate with Accounting & Operation Directors to ensure all applicable laws on site and in relation to timecards are being followed.

· Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

· Processing and filing quarterly and annual reports for CA, possibly TX and MD, 940/941s.

· Preparing and distributing W2s.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
