Senior Accountant
Position Description:
_Crown Energy Company _ is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! Crown Energy Company is an Oklahoma City-based oil and gas company seeking an Accountant who can work independently and implement processes and procedures for the company’s growth. Must be a self-starter, oil and gas experience necessary, and be well versed in monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation with knowledge of O&G revenue accounting, joint interest billing and accounts payable processes.
Essential duties
Coordinates and assists in the timely completion of monthly financial reports in accordance to GAAP
Oversee the timely payment/reporting of monthly ONRR, severance tax, state/federal royalty regulatory requirements
Support projects as requested by management
Manage audits as required
Maintain the general ledger, coordinate daily accounting activities, perform analysis and reporting
Skills and
Experience:
Three years of oil and gas accounting experience required
Working knowledge of drilling, completion and production activities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and oil and gas ERP system
Must exhibit a high level of integrity, accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
