We are excited to announce a NEW multifaceted leadership role, Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting to the Vice-President, who will be responsible for leading significant, cross-functional efficiency and organizational critical initiatives across R/A. As a member of the Finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing & identifying operational improvement that improves the financial health of Our operations. Further will lead alignment on changes needed to achieve productivity. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of R/A’s best-in-class culture of CARE. The role is based in R/A’s NYC Headquarters and is hybrid.
The Great Things you will be doing
Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving – Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives.
Participates in preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and reviews monthly expenditures; Reviews monthly metrics/targets to ensure goals are met.
Conduct financial analysis on various metrics and components to deliver scenario bases information to build opportunity & change.
Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to successfully perform any financial function and activity; applies metrics to supervise performance and lead workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.
Drive key functional financial metrics.
Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities passionate about solving business issues and analysis to provide information and data to facilitate change.
Work closely with the Restaurant Associates Culinary team and Compass Purchasing teams (Foodbuy) to:
Identify needs, develop solutions and implement process/systems for ongoing data management to optimize purchasing. Perform vital activities to ensure all approved products have negotiated net-net prices
Coordinate all activities and strategies with peers, Culinary, Operations, Finance and Brand Imaging teams
May require overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, MBA preferred but not required
5 years related experience, knowledge of foodservice industry a plus)
Financial analysis, critical thinking, and presentation skills
Technically proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Anaplan, SmartView/Essbase & other planning/analysis tools a strong plus
Strong ability to build relationships with Key Stakeholder partners
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, analysis and reporting of financial data.
Knowledge of business and mgmt. principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
Project management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
Judgement and decision-making skills; considering relative costs, benefits of potential actions.
