About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to develop and nurture relationships with key strategic partners both internally and externally to market the Commerce Bank employment brand and to build a diverse pipeline of qualified employment candidates for early career positions. This will include proactively growing and enhancing new and existing partnerships at the campus/university, community organization, and professional network levels to attract and retain top talent across the bank.
Essential Functions
Participate in the creation and execution of the Commerce Bank employment branding and talent attraction strategy at the campus/university and early career levels. This includes, but is not limited to; career fairs, information sessions, conferences, in office tours and events, etc.
Lead planning and execution of campus events and conferences, both virtually and in-person
Build and develop internal relationships with team members and hiring managers to develop and promote internal talent mobility
Utilize an innovative approach to drive diversity and inclusion in the recruiting strategy when planning campus and community partner events and sourcing strategies
Build and develop influential relationships with key contacts at universities and partner sponsored organizations, including: academic faculty, career services, development offices, student organizations, etc.
Build and develop influential relationships with key contracts for community partnerships
Help to evaluate the campus strategy and sourcing processes and make thoughtful recommendations
Think long-term and continually grow a pipeline of qualified candidates
Continuously identify, pipeline and share candidates with transferable skills
Track key metrics and reports to analyze the success of the program and continue to look at new and innovative ways to improve it
Provide an excellent candidate experience
Partner with the Diversity Team on key diversity initiatives and events
Liaise with candidates throughout the end-to-end hiring process, including: sharing timeline, confirming interview logistics, and communicating offer details
Execute initiatives specific to early talent, create and lead a tactical recruiting plan for partner engagement, actively participate in the campus talent planning process for business lines, and serve as the internal team contact for recruiter inquiries
Develop a comprehensive candidate engagement strategy and execute strategies that will enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience
Proactively develop a robust network of internal/external partners and lead identified recruiting initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Advanced knowledge of campus recruiting processes including sourcing, pipelining and selection of a broad, diverse population of applicants
Ability to proactively build relationships with internal stakeholders and external talent partners to find and attract top talent
Consultative approach to educating partners on candidate attraction and experience process
Proven track record in identifying and leveraging diversity, equity, and inclusion partnerships to attract talent
Excellent customer service skills with superior follow-through
Ability to effectively present information to all levels, from Professors to students, and to various audience sizes
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment while balancing multiple priorities
Well-developed ability to review and understand data, identify trends, and use metrics to drive decision-making
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time during peak season to local and regional events and campuses
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediatelevel proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
4+ yearsrecruitingexperience required
