ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts 1 will prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in which the analyst will compare financial and operational results using actual, historical, budget, and forecast data. The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts monitors the implementation of DWSD’s budget to ensure compliance and develop financial and operational metrics to measure progress. The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts also prepare reports and presentations and provide recommendations regarding the financial and operational risks and opportunities associated with particular decisions. The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts use enterprise resource planning systems, spreadsheet, and statistical software packages to analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and develop forecasts.

The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts 1 uses cost studies and alternative analysis to assess efficiencies and priorities. Cost studies include evaluations of financial and operational results, grants management, capital projects, procurement initiatives, and other municipality standards. The Professional Administrative Financial Analysts use spreadsheet and statistical software packages to prepare, present findings while utilizing benchmarking and comparison studies of similar organizations to assist in decision making.

As a regular City employee you automatically become a member of the General Retirement System. This entitles you to a retirement allowance after:
