Job Overview
The Associate Manager, Project Management supervises and coordinates the Project Management team. Staff may include salaried and / or hourly non-exempt employees.
Coaching, training and skills development of subordinate staff are key aspects of this role.
This role will interact with clients and is responsible for successfully meeting client and site objectives in a timely manner and will act as a primary client escalation point to address project issues.
Responsibilities
Acts as a primary client escalation point to resolve project issues.
resolves resource constraints with appropriate individual(s).
Generates and reviews project timelines and deliverable status and promptly modifies schedules or plans as required, notifying clients and internal stakeholders of changes.
Effectively mitigates project risks and resolves project issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications / Skills
Requires a life science degree and at least 4+ years of relevant Operations experience within the Pharmaceutical Development Industry including 2+ years Project Management experience.
People management experience an asset.
Knowledge
Strong technical Project Management skills Adept business acumen General understanding of pharmaceutical product development (API and Drug Product) Basic understanding of company SOPs, and regulatory guidance documents.
Basic knowledge of safety procedures and quality compliance for assigned area Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements,

Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically. Strong attention to detail, as well as time and resource management.
Strong personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethics and the ability to work independently with some direction.
Promotes a safe environment for work. Complies with the general policies of the company. Communicates well orally both for Internal customers and team members External customers Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in formal and informal settings. Ability to direct and motivate direct reports as well as matrixed colleagues on project teams.

Highly effective team and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across numerous management disciplines. Very effective listening skills with the ability to hear attentively and process information correctly.
