Bryant Park Capital (“BPC” or “the Firm”) is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join our team. The position is based in the Firm’s Philadelphia office and directly supports the Managing Directors, Principals, VPs and Associates. Currently the role is hybrid; BPC is back in the office 3 days per week. S/he will have the opportunity to quickly assume a high degree of responsibility and contribute to active engagements as an integral member of small, inclusive deal teams. BPC prides itself on a flat structure which will provide you with an opportunity to take on significant responsibility. Engagements include buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, fairness opinions, and other financial advisory services for companies ranging from private pre-revenue startups to established public companies. In addition to executing transactions, you will be expected to assist the Firm in monitoring M&A and financing activity in the middle market, reviewing industry trends, researching and composing various BPC publications, and analyzing the business strategies and M&A opportunities of the Firm’s existing and potential clients. You will also contribute to firm administrative functions.
Qualifications
Some of the personal attributes and skills we are looking for in a new team member are:
• 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or public accounting preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, at minimum; finance or accounting focus preferred. but must have good working knowledge of accounting principles regardless of major
• Recent graduate (class of 2021 or later)
• Strong financial modeling skills including three financial statement modeling, Discounted Cash Flow, Leverage Buyout, merger models and trading and M&A comps with little or no supervision (all applicants invited for a second-round interview will be given a financial modeling test during the interview process);
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Tenacious in meeting deadlines, hard working with a strong sense of urgency and good self-management discipline;
• Capable of working effectively under pressure;
• Organized and efficient, with keen ability to define priorities and the processes necessary to get things done;
• Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to concisely and thoughtfully prepare investment memorandum, summarize research, etc.;
• High level of personal integrity;
• A team player;
• Able to adapt to differing situations and changing priorities;
• Ability to work autonomously with limited access to administrative support;
• Experience in developing industry / competitive research;
• Ability to create presentations for management teams and Boards of Directors;
• Willingness to recruit and train personnel; and
• Series 79 and Series 63 licensed prior to or within 120 days of hire
