Job Description :
We
are a growing auto group which requires a bridge between the
individual dealerships and the many daily tasks and projects that
arise as a result of our expansion. The ideal candidate will report
directly to the Controller and work to support the President in
day-to-day needs including organization, some accounting duties,
projects related to acquisitions and the creation of homogenous
reporting practices across the multiple dealerships in our auto group.
The assistant must be able to work independently, have a high level of
professional integrity and exercise excellent judgement in a variety
of situations. Strong verbal communication, organizational and
time-management skills are mandatory as well as meticulous attention
to detail. The ideal candidate must be able to complete a wide variety
of projects simultaneously and handle confidential matters with
discretion.
Roles and Responsibilities
:
* Maintain a detailed filing system in the office of the
President
* Assist with projects related to acquisitions and
financing of ventures
* Interface with banking relationships
and shop for competitive financing on commercial buildings across the
organization
* Research and follow up on incoming matters of
importance to the President
* Successfully completes any and
all tasks assigned to them by the President, often with deadline
pressures
* Reconcile and report on monthly reinsurance
statements while noting any discrepancies
* Review and compare
financial statements from dealerships in the auto group while bringing
awareness to any red flags or items needing research
* Provide
cost accounting advice for the auto group
* Assist with any
personal projects assigned by the President
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
