The Director of Finance position is responsible for the financial health of our client. Manages the Accounting and Economic aspects of the company by enforcing a financial strategy aimed toward long-term growth. Additional duties include overseeing the finance and scheduling department, conducting financial assessments, generating reports, establishing company budgets and conduct risk assessments on business initiative. Plans and directs all aspects of financial and accounting activities at the facility by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department/Food and Beverage. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts/Sciences degree in Accounting/Finance as well as seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a senior level accounting/financial/food and beverage management position of a hospitality company. Financial analysis experience in the hospitality industry of 5 to 7 years, experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software and be willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software.
