JOB SUMMARYThe marketing specialist reports to the Marketing Manager and collaborates with Apria leadership to develop, plan, execute and optimize Apria marketing strategy.
The marketing specialist manages targeted content for digital platforms including websites, social media, and email. The marketing specialist works across all of Apria’s products, including sleep, respiratory, noninvasive ventilation, wound therapy and diabetes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork as part of the marketing team to plan, build, and grow Apria’s brand strategyUnderstand marketing goals and execute on the strategyWork with internal marketing staff and vendors to produce creative, innovative marketing collateralWrite targeted content for website, sales collateral, and other channels as neededCreate and manage content for social media and email marketingUnderstand market research plans including vendor selection, discussion guide creation, interview note taking, and act upon them as needed.
Synthesize interview data and collate findings from market research as needed.Regularly scan the market for competitor strategies and new developments and communicate them to the teamKeep current with industry trends and compelling marketing campaignsOrganize, prioritize, and complete a variety of project management tasks daily with minimal supervision, including : Respond to collateral creation requests from across ApriaCoordinate the development of marketing deliverables with relevant collaboratorsTrack task management across multiple workstreamsArrange project and status meetingsDigital content oversight, ensuring it is kept currentWork with agency and other vendors to communicate creative visionRelay creative concepts / content-in-development to the marketing teamChampion company brand identity across all developed materials and act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projectsPerform other duties or special projects as requestedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESN / AMinimum Required QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation and / or ExperienceBachelor’s degree with focus on marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience3+ years’ experience in marketingDigital marketing experience (email campaigns, social media, website campaigns)Experience marketing in scientific or healthcare fieldSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESExperience working in online marketing tools including those for websites, social media, projects, and email marketing managementProven ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and other functionsInnovative thinking and familiarity with emerging media and technologiesThe ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlinesCreative problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and with minimal directionExceptional written and verbal communications skillsCompassionate, accountable, respectful, and strives for excellenceCurious and a quick learnerComputer SkillsOnline marketing toolsLanguage SkillsMathematical SkillsCollege level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
