Please not that this is an ONSITE position based out of our office in Mahwah, NJ. This is NOT a remote position. Amare’s Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Additionally, you will:
- Perform month end close activities, including journal entries, financial statements, and related analysis
- Reconcile daily cash accounts and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare and review sales reconciliations, researching and resolving any variances
- Prepare monthly intercompany invoices, review the monthly intercompany balances, and communicate with international finance managers
- Apply accounting principles to review financial statements for accuracy and recommend actionable solutions
- Work closely with peers to identify process improvement
- Support accounting team with special projects as needed
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a Staff Accountant is REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is REQUIRED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 with emphasis in Excel
- Familiarity with SQL and SAP ByDesign is a plus
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
- Good research, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Good communication and presentation skills – verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
