Alpha Global Search LLC Looking for Credit Fund Investment Analyst – Private Debt Fund Strategies at New York, NY Full Time

A global asset management firm is seeking a Fund Investment Analyst who will play an active and important role in pre-investment strategy research, manager investment and operational due diligence, and post-investment due diligence and reporting in Private Debt investment business.

This work will cover various Private Debt fund strategies and managers.

• Assist the team in creating the Private Debt Investment platform and investment philosophy in collaboration with Alternative team in head office.
• Scree and develop new investment opportunities through the manager search and selection process.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective investment managers.
• Collaborate with the team in conducting due diligence and formulating investment recommendations on Private Debt Funds.
• Assist the Portfolio Manager for serving as liaison with subsidiaries regarding the allocations of various alternative investment categories based on investment goals; interpret and translate data, investment related documents and Investment Committee materials for headquarters.
• Assist the team to prepare regular reporting package for investors including Quarterly report.
• Participate and present in the Quarterly Report meeting for Private Debt fund,
• Coordinate with external parties in the negotiation and execution of agreements and documents related to Private debt investments.
• Under team’s supervision, understand, prepare for and conduct the cash flow management and other operational issues of private debt funds including instructions to administrators.
• Support the Portfolio Manager to develop new clients having an intention to invest Private Debt Fund.
• Research and investigate matters as required by Head Office.
• Manage and maintain data related to underlying fund performance and company.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background including Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Economics related filed. MBA and/or progress toward CFA preferred.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience in fund investments (including experience in middle/back office), preferably with a focus on Alternative or Credit Fund Selection at an institutional investor (including bank, insurance company, pension fund, endowment, foundation, SWF or family office), investment consultant, investment manager or private equity firm.
• Fluency in English is required. Other language skill a plus.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and other Office
• Outstanding analytical, financial modeling, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work overtime, as required.
• Detail oriented, pro-active and able to manage multiple projects to deadlines with minimal supervision.
