WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will lead their team by setting and achieving productivity goals, managing inventory, creating communication systems, and setting up logistical organization and transportation systems within the warehouse. By directing shipments and resolving logistical challenges, the Warehouse Manager maintains communication with clients, transportation providers suppliers, manufactured goods, and the management team. The Warehouse Manager will track the supply chain and employees according to the company timeline.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing.
· In charge of inventory and quality control of shipments and counts
· Manage, lead, and coach a team of 6-10 employees.
· Hires and trains new warehouse employees.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy, with assistance from the HR Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments and plant management.
· Completes all required management reports.
· Executes maintenance activities when needed.
· Process Order Completes for invoicing
· Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
· Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
· Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
· Effective communication skills including writing, speaking, and active listening.
· Great interpersonal skills
· Basic math skills required
· Ability to read and use a tape measure
· Good project management skills including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
· Exceptional time management and organization skills
· Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics.
· Comfortable using inventory management software and other organization computer applications including MS Office Suite.
· Familiarity with Kanban and S5 experience.
· Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
· Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Warehouse experience required.
· 4-5 years supervisory experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
· Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
