We’re actively recruiting for a Manager of Financial Operations for our growing company. The Manager of Financial Operations will mainly be responsible for overseeing financial operations for the company. This is an opportunity to help build a finance and accounting department from the ground up while serving as a driving force in improving the health and well-being of millions of patients.
The Manager of Accounting Operations manages all activities in the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the banking function. As a newly created position, the Accounting Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing changes accordingly. The Accounting Operations Manager will not only coach, mentor and develop the team handling the day-to-day financial activities of the organization, but will also evaluate, assess, propose, and implement improvements to the current systems, processes and working methods to operate even better as a fast growing, world-class organization. The Accounting Operations Manager will report to senior accounting leadership.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or from our headquarters office in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including both vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements. Supervise and assist the AP staff in properly processing transactions, coding to the general ledger, and resolving employee and vendor questions.
- Implement SOX controls around all payment processes
- Periodically review vendors to ensure accurate classification for IRS Form 1099 reporting purposes.
- Prepare and send IRS Form 1099s by the annual deadline.
- Review and reconcile the corporate credit card statement.
- Manage vendor relationships with professional communication and service
- Prepare payment batches in Tipalti for approval by senior leadership
- Put process improvements in place to more effectively utilize the AP system (Tipalti) and expense reimbursement system (Expensify)
- Implement systems across newly acquired business units
- Set up new vendors in Tipalti/NetSuite and onboard new vendors in Tipalti and ensure the tax ID is entered as part of onboarding
- Monitor the sync from Tipalti to NetSuite and resolve sync issues as needed
- Review employee reimbursements approved by AP staff and reimbursed employees through Expensify
- Monitor the sync from Expensify to NetSuite and resolve sync issues as needed
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Scrappiness and entrepreneurial spirit – must thrive in a fast-paced, results driven, rapidly changing environment and effectively handle competing priorities
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and comfort with ambiguity; ability to embrace change and build structure into a less defined work environment
- The ability to identify problems and drive appropriate people and process solutions
- Astute attention to detail
- Healthcare/SaaS experience preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Tipalti experience or similar system experience required
- Experience with management vendor payments for multiple subsidiaries.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use Excel
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- You think beyond your immediate team and contribute to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
