Title: VP Finance – Budgeting, Forecasting, Planning and Grants
Locations: Hybrid in office in the Bay Area with ability to travel to other offices periodically. Open to candidates in the following geographies as well: Dallas, D.C., Nashville and Milwaukee.
Salary: 200,000-210,000 cash compensation

We have been retained by an expanding Bay Area non-profit educational organization with over 1000 employees nationwide who is seeking to hire a VP of Finance to oversee all finance functions for the organization, as well as grants compliance and reporting. This role will manage a team of 6 and be part of the executive team and board facing, and report into the CFO. The company has multi-entities (20+) with operations in multiple states outside California. The focus is on someone coming from a larger complex, high volume data organization who can be a change agent and be instrumental with future scaling and growth.
You have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, an MBA is preferred.
· 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting and planning in a multi-entity, multi-state company organization.
· Ownership of full P&L at a mid to large-sized company is ideal.
· A very strong interest in working for a non-profit organization in the education sector.
· Experience mentoring and leading a finance team of 6 with a focus on setting strategic direction, individual and team development, and with goal setting and accountability.
· Strong experience modeling and forecasting, with the ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
· Advanced Excel skills and prior financial planning software experience ideal. Prior experience with Adaptive a plus.
· Ability to strategize, deliver results, create metrics and drive accountability.
· Ability to partner cross-functionally, and build strong relationships.
· Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence, negotiate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Must have experience presenting to senior management, board, and internal and outside partners..
