Wage: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00/yearly (Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. OVERVIEW: As the Operation Manager, you will be responsible for leading our service operation in Breckenridge and Vail. In addition, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in maintaining, servicing, and installing commercial Plumbing, Boilers, Snowmelt, HVAC equipment and accessories. The manager is responsible for safety, labor productivity and efficiency, inventory management, customer satisfaction, employee retention, and on-time arrival. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, and communication with our internal and external customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and monitor manpower needs
Responsible for all aspects of technician performance including:
Recruiting / Hiring / Terminating
Developing / Training
Quality of work
Compliance with all processes
Performance Reviews / Retention
Dispatch team to ensure effectiveness
A/R, A/P and approving
Manage open work order reports to ensure timely completion
Prepare and approve billings on projects and repairs
Monitor and improve operational efficiency
Responsible for department financial performance within their control. Areas include:
Gross Margin and Gross Profit by Line of Business
Revenue and gross profit/man hour per technician
Indirect cost impact
Labor utilization rates
Develop and present to customers, quotes for repairs generated by technicians
Provide technical support and training to department personnel
On occasion, manage projects that have been turned over by the sales team
Additional duties as assigned and agreed upon
Develop, maintain, and report work-in-process service department plans, work-in-process, service revenue forecasts, and budgets; see that all local and state codes are properly met; actively promote the sale of replacement systems and equipment, as well as service and preventative maintenance contracts and warranty work
Assist with bidding and selling projects based on experience and technical attributes
Maintain and keeps inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or associate degree or technical school with a certificate in Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; with a minimum of 15 years of service experience.
Must have leadership/management knowledge of Plumbing/boilers/HVAC systems, electronics, and building controls
5 years of Management experience (Required)
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, service management software, and financial accounting systems. (Strongly preferred)
Valid driver’s license with a clear Motor Vehicle Record in the state of Colorado.
